Filmoteca de Castilla y Leon

This is the perfect place for real cinema lovers and enthusiasts. It offers countless movies of all kinds and from all places and a great collection of photographs and books for those who are interested in studying the seventh art. There are several perfectly-equipped screening rooms where you can take in a film without being disturbed. Moreover, the Filmoteca organizes special film series featuring films you would probably not be able to see anywhere else due to their origin, themes, distribution or duration, and has a special section on short films. There is also a permanent exhibition called 'Artilugios para fascinar' (Devices to Fascinate), displaying objects that were used before cinema existed. It is located in the Casa de las Viejas, very near the Plaza Mayor. Admission: free.
