Lights of Liberty is a spectacular sound and light show. Experience the events leading up to the American Revolution while walking through Independence National Historic Park after dark. A personal headset with surround sound tells the story of the American Revolution, while beautiful hand-painted, 5-story-high images are projected onto the sides of historical buildings. In less than a mile and about one hour visitors experience five acts in five locations. Ticket prices range from USD12 per child to USD17.76 per adult.

  • Got a 2 for 1 coupon online.
  • Everything else is boring.

“The guy as the crossing guard was the best part. Very low tech. Boring. Too much. Nothing spectacular about it.”

  • A great over all show.
  • When the wind picks up it makes the show less fun.

“This show is a very important part of the historical aspects of the Philadelphia story, the lights of liberty show is the cherry to a wonderful time in historical Philadelphia, the show guides are friendly, informative, and full of energy. The head sets are small and very light weight, so I am not sure what other are referring to about being too big. It is a fun time that just adds to the already loaded historic old town Philadelphia. And my 10, and 14 year old children loved it.”

  • None.
  • Heavy, uncomfortable headgear, uninspiring, elementary effects.

“First, the headphones were unbelievably heavy and uncomfortable and could not be adjusted to fit your head. You had to have the earphones to participate in the show. We walked from building to building and stared at very elementary (no high tech here) stationery images shown on the fronts of buildings, walked past what was supposed to be a replica of a Revolutionary War battlefield but was just a heap of junk here and there with fake smoke. All in all, it was a colossal waste of money. We also took the duck boat tour and highly recommend that for being much more informative and fun!”
