  • Our room was beyond our expectations - beautiful, clean, and roomy!

“I found the Grand Sierra to be a classy difference from the other casino/hotels we visited while in reno. The open space, beautiful lighting and layout for comfort was all beyond our expectations. This place is classy and we will be back to spend some more time there! Thanks so much for a great experience!”

  • Clean and elegant for a casino hotel.
  • Rooms are very dark--dark-lit and dark decorations.

“This is a great hotel for people who don't like the traditional casino scene, it's not trashy, dirty, or obnoxious. There are many family-friendly activities like bowling and mini golf. The restaurants are fantastic.”

  • Location and comfort.

“Good atmosphere, restaurant was staffed well and had good service. Food was above average. As in most hotels in Reno and Las Vegas smoking is permitted every where.”

  • Room was well appointed - bed was comfortable.
  • Casino environment, air always had hint of cigarettes.

“Room was nicely equipped, clean and comfortable, though showing signs of wear due to age. This is a casino and the air was always a little stale with a hint of cigarette smoke. Have to walk a considerable distance when leaving or arriving.”

  • The room was GREAT!
  • There was smoking everywhere because of the casinos.

“The hotel was fabulous with many activities for children and adults.”

  • Room and facilities were excellent.
  • Very large, ask for a floor plan so you don't get lost.

“Excellent room and very good price through priceline. The interior of the room was a little dark. While checking in the clerk's people skill were off. We went to the automated wine bar. It was a very interesting gimmick but it took all of the personality out of wine tasting. When looking at the costs of the wine by the ounce, sometimes you were paying 15.00 per glass. Great gaming open spaces.”

  • The beds were very comfortable.
  • The hallways were very dark.

“Overall I liked this hotel the only problems I had was the air conditioner did work that well, and I got food poisoning the last night of my stay. Other than that It was good.”

  • Nice amenities in the room.
  • Pillows were too hard.

“We stay in this hotel every time we go to Reno because it has everything from a resort class spa to a movie theater. It's also very family friendly.”

  • The room was very nice and comfortable.
  • Location, I would rather be downtown in Reno.

“The Summit was very nice, the room was great. The only downfall is location, I prefer to be downtown in Reno.”

  • The suite's layout.

“This hotel is nice, the only problem we had was that the restaurants closed earlier than we thought and the one that was open later did not have enough servers. Parking is not the most convenient.”

  • It was well appointed, there was plenty to keep us all busy.
  • The room was a little dark.

“Beautiful hotel. Plenty to do from indoor golf and skeet shooting, shuffle board, lazier tag, go-cart racing, shopping, gambling, elegant dining at a reasonable price. What is there not to like?”

  • Clean, comfortable and very nice.
  • Nothing.

“I feel comfortable bringing my kids to this resort, you are allowed pets and the hotel is the cleanest I have ever been in. The restaurants are nice a little spendy but wonderful. The gambling is a little tight but we didn't go to gamble so we had fun in our room.”

“Very nice hotel. The summit room was especially nice.”

  • Well for the room part it was great. The bed was too hard and stuffy that we ended up sleeping on the couch.
  • The security was very poor, there was people running yelling and fighting outside our room, and security did nothing even after a phone call.

“The room was great and the staff as of the valet guys and floor (Casino) staff was great friendly and kind.

  • The room was modern,
    clean,
    very quiet
    and
    especially for a casino.
  • The only complaint is there are no restaurants outside of the hotel within walking distance.

“I really enjoyed staying at this hotel. Lot of things to do and many restaurants inside the hotel. Very convenient to the airport.

Cleanliness:[2] • Staff:[7] • Location:[9]

  • Nice size rooms and large beds.
  • The pool area not for kids even in the day time a lot of adult stuff going on.

“The pull out had dirty sheets on it when we checked in and though floor wasn't vacuumed the pool area is not for kids I guess there trying to make it a resort type pool area but in the day time you have young kids in there, the night time pool time is fine 8 pm over 21 that's all good but I think the day time needs to be controlled more. I would stay there again but not with kids.”
