The museum, part of the Office of Historic Alexandria, features exhibits, events and hands-on learning programs. Volunteers, local archaeologists, and students work at the museum to keep the collection and data in order. In addition, this family-friendly organization hosts "family dig days" at local sites and offers summer camps for children and adults.
