Folsom Zoo50 Natoma St, (behind City Hall), Sacramento, CATel: (916) 355-7200 • Web: Visit this site » Since 1963, when a badly burned bear was taken in and cared for by the city government, the Folsom Zoo has grown by leaps and bounds. It now provides a home for animals that no one else wants. Wild animals include bobcats, cougars, bears, coyotes, raccoons, elk and a few exotics. Domestic animals include livestock such as sheep, goats, chickens and horses. The mission of the zoo, in addition to helping the animals, is educational. Admission is $3 for adults; $2 for kids (5-12); under 5 is free. First Tuesday of every month is half off the admission.
