Its concerts are broadcast nationwide weekly over National Public Radio (NPR). Founded in the late 1800s, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra remains a source of pride for the city, and its classical, jazz and pops concerts are well attended each season. This company often tours, but its home base is the finely restored Powell Symphony Hall.
