“There were tremendous lines for everything, including a 45 minute wait for the elevator going up to our room. Our room did not get made up unless we called and then it got done at about 4:00 PM or later. The food quality in every restaurant was terrible and the prices out of sight. Uncooked eggs, rubber bacon, cold dry toast, absolutely terrible. The hotel has too much of everything. The pools are so complicated as to be impossible to understand. The restaurants are spread out all over the place and none of them are good. Cocktail lounges have no servers. You need to go to the bar and get your own $10 drinks. All in all, this experience will keep my away from Vegas for a long, long time, if I ever go back. Kind of reminds me of a really bad cruise ship with very unfriendly crew and passengers.” 0 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“Mandalay Bay has many good points and some not so good. First of all, we were there on for a business trade show and had to stay there. Yes the company paid for our room but I'll try to review as if we had actually paid to give an idea of how I would feel if it were my money being spent! :-) The lobby and casino are kept very clean and fresh smelling (unlike some other properties in LV where the smell of old cigarettes chokes you). Check in was quick and easy, we came during the week when it wasn't as busy. The room was OK. For the price paid ($250+) we expected the WOW factor and except for the bathroom, it just wasn't great. Basic room with no desk which is inexcusable for a hotel catering to business functions and conventions. Bedding was comfy and closets were nice and large enough. Bathroom was nice with giant tub, double sinks and separate shower. We could hear noise in the hall clearly AND our neighbor talking on his phone! The pool complex is beautiful with lovely landscaping and several options of pools, including a small lazy river. However the pool area gets crazy busy during the warmer months. Luckily they're very strict about only letting in hotel guests. Restaurants were varied and we did try the buffet and cafe (can't remember the names). Both were good, if not great and somewhat overpriced for what you get, but we've been finding it harder and harder to find good values in restaurants any longer in LV. One other problem for us was that MB is so far at one end of the Strip. Getting around to other casinos farther down can be a bit of a pain unless you have your own transportation. Would we stay there again on own? Probably not, I feel there are better values in the middle of everything. As far as recommending it to others? It really depends so much, some may love the fact that it is away from the worst of the bustle and don't care about the desk.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.Popular Attractions in Las VegasView all attractions in Las Vegas
