This small museum is dedicated to the preservation of the Agua Caliente band of the Cahuilla Indians, who initally discovered the Palm Springs area. Displays include basketry masterworks by past and present artisans, early photographs and a full-size re-creation of a traditional Cahuilla kish. The museum is also the official repatriation center for disturbed remains of Agua Caliente tribespeople and receives relics recovered in the area. Admission is free.
