The Indian Canyons are beautiful retreats from the sometimes-glitzy atmosphere of Palm Springs. When the streams are running, children enjoy splashing in the water and it's a popular area for picnics. Visitors now have the chance to see the "Witch of Tahquitz Canyon," an eerie shadow occasionally cast in the recently reopened canyon. Tours are offered every two hours on weekends, at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekdays.

Admission is USD8 for adults; USD6 for seniors 62 and older; children USD4; under 5 free. Admission is cash only; cards are accepted at the gift shop.
