Rancho Mirage Country Club was one of the desert's first courses; it was around in this area's heyday, when Lucille Ball and other Hollywood stars flocked to Coachella Valley for weekend retreats. The main course features 18 holes of Harold Heers-designed par-70 golf covering 6,111 yards with a 119 slope. On-site staff includes PGA certified Pro Eric Charos. Limited golf playing privileges are offered to guests of other accredited country clubs. Seasonal rates: USD90-120; summer rates: USD40-65.
