Visit more than 1,000 different species from around the globe, from the Siberian tiger to the San Esteban Island Chuckwalla. Of course, there are lions, tigers and bears (oh my!), as well as giraffes, geckos, a white rhinoceros and gorillas. If your feet get tired, hop aboard the Zoo Express Train ($1 per passenger). ZooSnoozes, overnight camping, is available by reservation. Also, check out the zoo's many classes for pre-schoolers through adults. Admission: USD8 adults; USD4 children ages 2-12 years and senior citizens; Free Sat 9am-10:30am and all day Tue. Group rates available.
