The Birmingham Barons are a AA minor league team affiliated with the Chicago White Sox. In recent years, the Barons have featured such marquee players as Frank Thomas and Robin Ventura on their way up to the major leagues, as well as basketball immortal Michael Jordan during his brief flirtation with baseball. The Barons play at the Hoover Metropolitan Stadium, except for during the annual Rickwood Classic. The season runs from April to September. Reserved seating: adult box seats USD7, children USD6. General admission: adults USD5, children USD4.
