Downtown Plano's rare blend of turn-of-the century commercial buildings coupled with contemporary shops and eateries promises a unique experience for visitors and residents alike. Park your car and plan to spend the day touring the cobblestone streets lined with more than 50 specialty shops, complete with antiques, arts, crafts and tearooms. When you're through shopping, visit the Interurban Museum, an actual electric railway car that ran along the Texas Electric Railway. You can also view several historic homes, built in the early 1900s, each one beautifully restored and maintained.
