“My husband and I visited the Water Wall during our first trip to Texas, and we weren't sure what to expect. We parked at the Galleria parking deck and walked less than a block. It turned out to be one of our favorite stops in Houston. It is a grand architectural accomplishment and provides sheer wow factor. We enjoyed the mist on a hot spring day, took nearly 100 pictures, and found ourselves giggling and holding hands as we stood beside the wall.”

“When I was 2 my grandfather was diagnosed with terminal leukemia. Everyday of his stay at M.D. Anderson my grandmother and my mother would take me to the water wall on the way home and we would play in the mist as it rose above us. One day in June my mother and my grandmother took me back to the wall of water and explained to me that we wouldn't be coming anymore. My grandfather had died. For 13 years I never went back to the wall. I missed it and I would dream of it, seeing my grandfather's face rise in the mist above me, rainbows shimmering in the sunshine. I had decided I would be married there. I had it all planned out. The night that I went back I experienced the same beautiful melancholy and thrill at the sheer awe of the place. As the water rushed down around me I stood looking at the swirling sparkles of the water droplets and I saw his face. It is my favorite place in the entire world. Everyone should visit it at least once. I assure you it will be an experience not soon forgotten. ” 3 of 3 people found this review helpful.Popular Attractions in HoustonView all attractions in Houston
