Now the fort houses a museum, showcasing the local history of coastal defence from the Ming dynasty to the present. The Redoubt, once the core military structure of the fort, has been renovated to house the main exhibition with the theme '600 Years of Hong Kong's Coastal Defence'. In addition, a historical trail highlights restored gun emplacements, underground magazines, a torpedo station and spectacular views of Victoria Harbour. Admission: Adults HKD10; concession (children & seniors) HKD5. Free on Wednesday.
