The latter efforts has seen the creation of the Mid-levels, which is sandwiched between Central and Victoria Peak. And what prevents these 40, 50 and even 60 floor Mid-levels tower blocks from simply sliding down the hillside? The answer: enormously long piling pins that, no doubt, took months of effort to drive into place, pinning buildings down for good.
