“Colonial Williamsburg is a place you'll never forget. An entire colonial town has been restored to the way it was when Thomas Jefferson and George Washington walked its streets. You not only get a feel for our country's founding here, but also what life was like. You can visit the town's cooper, wig maker, silversmith, cobbler, printer, wheelwright, dressmaker, blacksmith - the whole nine yards. Also well worth a visit, not too far away, in orange, Virginia, is Montpelier - home of jams and dolly Madison. It is being restored to the way it was when the Madison¿s lived there, and they have special "hard hat" tours so you can see the restoration process up close. This is the last of the founders' homes to be restored - a unique and fascinating experience to see.” 8 of 8 people found this review helpful.Popular Attractions in WilliamsburgView all attractions in Williamsburg
