“We stayed in the 2 room cabins, which were clean. The morning staff is friendly and helpful, however the evening staff seemed to be there to have a body behind the counter. Not very friendly or helpful. However, we did enjoy our stay. If you use the pool, make sure you take your shoes in the pool area with you and not left in the shoe cubby outside the fence. After swimming with my kids for about a half hour, we went to leave and discovered someone had stolen my daughter's sandals. When I talked to the front desk, they didn't seem to care one way or the other. They never even asked for my name or site number in case they turned up.”

“The actual grounds of this KOA are beautiful and the river is just a short walk down the hill. The owners, however, leave much to be desired. We found them to be extremely stingy and petty. We stayed a month because my husband was working in the area. I suppose, since we were given a monthly rate, they felt justified in giving us the worst possible site in the campground. Right on the only entrance, in between the dumpsters/dump station and a flooded leech field. Not only was this location extremely loud, the stench from the leech field was quite overpowering at times, not to mention a health concern. When we asked if we could move, they said no and assured us that the leech field would dry up in a day or two. Mind you, this was in April when there was hardly anyone else in the entire campground. Yet somehow they couldn't afford us a different site. Additionally, we had no barbeque pit our entire first week here, so my husband felt it would be ok if we borrowed the fire pit from the neighboring site. Within a half hour, a man came and took the pit back saying that we couldn't use it because we weren't paying for it. Several times after that, we would see the owner driving by our site very slowly, craning his neck to see if we had taken the fire pit back. The washers and dryers cost $1.50 per load and are frequently broken, which you don't find out until you've already put in your money and soap. There were many other little things that made us never want to stay here again, but if I took the time to list them all, I would be just as petty as the owners of this KOA.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“The people in the office were friendly, efficient, and helpful. We were escorted to our site and parked. The site was quite adequate for our needs. Campground is quiet and clean. There are lots of wonderful trees and also open space. The free wife has a strong signal and is quite fast. The roads in the park are Narrowing; however, we were able to drive our 42 footer without any trouble. It's only a few minutes drive to the center of Leavenworth. There is a shuttle from the campground to town if you'd rather not fight the parking hassle there. .”

“This campground is very unorganized and the office does not communicate with each other at all. We were told on the phone when we called them to ask if they took Good Sam Club members, the girl said yes they did. She explained that we wouldn't need to make reservations since we were coming in on a Wednesday. So, we drove our RV over Stevens Pass and when we go to the office to show our card and pay, they said they don't take Good Sam!! We argued and said we were told that on the phone before we left for the trip. A lady spoke up and said they would honor it, since we were given wrong information. We were planning on staying for 5 nights and this lady said we would get our discount for each night. We just paid for one night, to see how we would like the place. The next day, we went back to pay for the rest of our stay and this girl knew nothing about the discount and she called the manager. He was upset cause we interrupted his dinner! He was trying to also charge us regular fees, but had to call his sister to find out what we were being charged each night. Nobody had records or nobody communicated!!! But, he told me they were organized! Then, he tried to tell me that fees are more on weekends cause they have a hamburger feed to where the whole park can come eat free. They charge all campers more, to pay for this. That's not what the sister said when she told us we could have our discount for each night we were there. I made a point with him, and he was not very nice about giving us the discount without charging for the burger feed. They also were confused about the camp spot we chose. They said we could stay in the same spot all 5 nights, but after we got our motor home all hooked up and etc. then they were wanting us to move, cause they had someone coming in Friday that had a reservation for that spot. Later, they tell us to just stay where we are. Never again will we go there to such a disorganized and flaky KOA. We also heard some other bad stories about that place since The Witt Family took over. When going camping, you are to relax and have a good time, not to be stressed out like we were. So sorry to have to say all this but I was so frustrated with them. I told them to give us a free night after all the confusion, but they said they couldn't do that. I thought we deserved it!!” 2 of 2 people found this review helpful.

“While this campground had all the amenities for the modern, (full hook up, cable, wireless Internet), it was way too crowded. They pack them in here very tight. The road in and around the grounds is very narrow and people are tenting anywhere they can set up. Not very well controlled. Kids on skateboards, scooters, bikes, etc. running wild. Very noisy, crowded, and too tight to feel comfortable. If you need to dump your RV holding tank, the dump site is right on the one and only drive into/out of the park. Not well planned. Very small pool which was packed. Staff was nice and the store is well stocked. Will not stay here again due to the overcrowding and cramped sites.” 5 of 5 people found this review helpful.Popular Attractions in Leavenworth
