  • Nothing, could ever beat this camp.
  • It closed.

“This was the best camp I had ever been to in my entire life. It is my favorite place in the world. I went maybe 5 times until I heard the devastating news. I always would cry on that last day at the camp.”

  • Great spirit, fun, dozens of activities and stories.
  • I have thought about it long and hard and I cant think of anything.

“The best place for a summer camp ever to exist on the face of the earth!”

  • A life-long memorable Christian experience that every girl should know and cherish.
  • Going home! Well, now. No more camp abbey.

“I felt as someone. A part of me died when I heard camp was closed. My daughter and I cried for an hour. Camp abbey was a big part of my childhood, and I carried it onto my children. I went to camp for 8 years, and was a counselor for 4 years. My 2 oldest children have been lucky to have a chance to experience it, even as a counselor. I am so disappointed that my younger children will never be able to share with us the heart felt memories of the days at camp. I truly believe that camp abbey helped me to become the person I am today. My daughter and I both talk about how we never wanted to leave camp, or the friends we made there. It was always an emotional time that last night, and morning going home.”

  • No boys were allowed when the girls were.

  • Atmosphere. Counselors Environment. Fun. Attitude.
  • Cold Showers. Nothing.

“I've been a camper for five years now. Camp Abbey is the best place I can imagine - the 'Camp Abbey' song includes a line that says 'It's easy to see that God sent a part of Heaven from above'. It's so true. The counselors are amazing, the campers are fantastic - It's home away from home. ”
