  • pool, people, staff, putt putt, lakes, fishing
  • cabins wern't availiable

“We loved our stay, from the minute we pulled up we knew we were in for a treat. After just fifteen minutes at one of the lakes my son caught his first fish, a huge five pound bass!!!! For the rest of the day my wife and I did nothing but relax while the kids spent the day playing put put and having a blast with all the activities. We loved our stay and will return soon!!”

  • The main reason we bought was, it is close to our home.
  • Filthy, no amenities, crowded, uncaring and rude staff!

“American campgrounds at Alamo is the worst experience of camping that we have ever had. We stayed in the park model. The carpet and furniture were filthy, we lost the food that we put in the refrigerator because the dust and dirt were so thick under it that it would not cool, when we turned on the oven to make cookies the smell drove us out of the trailer because there was a nest of mice in the insulation of the oven. There was no snack bar operating for the entire week, the game room had a TV, a few old torn paperback books and nothing more. The lots are so close together for the campers there is no privacy. Our daughter, son-in-law and children stayed in one of the cabins and after they were settled, a trailer backed into the lot next to them and you could hardly walk between the cabin and trailer. We have not paid our maintenance fee since that stay because we never plan to use the facility again. The staff at the camp store was rude and unfriendly. There was nothing there to ever make us want to return and it was certainly nothing like the salesman presented it. We would like to just get our money back for our membership but since we can't do that, I will write a derogatory review at every opportunity!”

  • Most free camping.
  • They really do stick to their today only.

“I am definitely a fan of A.C.I., I have only been a member for 1 year now, but before I purchased my membership I researched every Coast to Coast campground in the Midwest A.C.I. is not only the best place to purchase a membership, but they are the largest home park system in the program. They now have 11 free parks for you to use, any others around my area only offer 3 at the most. Also with the economy the way it is I wanted a park with a good track record, A.C.I. has been in Coast to Coast longer than any system in the country. I did more research on this than I have done since I had my first child, I suggest you do your own research though. FYI go to all the other parks first, I know for a fact that no one will stick to their today only except A.C.I., so get their info first then go there last, I did and it was well worth it. Hope to see you this summer!”

  • Staff, clean, friendly, activities, space, surrounding attractions.
  • Nothing.

“This is an excellent park with a very friendly staff. My wife and I have been members for 4 years now and never had a bad comment about it. Laughing at myself when I see someone talking about the park shows its age and duck leavings on the park. To me people its camping. If you dont like trees and frown on wild life maybe you should camp indoors. Park is kept clean and bathrooms are well maintained on a regular basis during peak season. I have seen management about bend over backwards not just for us but every member I talk to. No bad comments here.”

  • Am great full for the versatility of the coast to coast program, and the campground facilities.

“I have been a member for two years now, and my family and I are more than impressed with our membership. Not only do we use the campground when we feel like it, but we have been on two carnival cruises, Disney with the kids, and spent two weeks at lake of the Ozarks in Missouri through the coast to coast program. Just thought this would help, I noticed a couple negative reviews and it kind of made me chuckle, I havent experienced any problems like those. We love it!”
