“The manager shows bad judgment, he yells at his customers. We were even charged for guests that would only be there an hour and walked in. Really is too bad because this could be a great stop, we will never try it again after the horrible experience we had.”

“The worst campground I have ever tried to visit. I visited this campground because its proximity to my home allowed me to extend my weekend for an extra day. At the time I was tired. It was a cold, windy night. I wanted a place to rest. That became unthinkable because of the reception I received. Of course, I can almost now laugh about it. No camping = no money - to you, buster". Thank goodness, I wasn't too far from home. I didn't even bother to stop anywhere else. Who needs a cold reception when a warm home is around the corner? Needless to say, I will never return to that park or the community that tolerates such inhospitable hospitality hostesses.”

“The park is in a nice location. The beach is close (short walk) the paths to walk around are great. But I have never been to such a rude place before in all my life. There is some guy who rides around on a golf cart and I am fairly certain he has never cracked a smile or said anything in a pleasant voice in his entire life. He is rude and I will even venture to say, down right mean. Even on the phone he rude, short and very uncomfortable to talk to. The park has a lot of rules they are all posted right on the front when you drive in. I had to take a picture of them as I was amazed that such a small place could have so many signs! Not a very welcoming site to say the least. That being said. I do have to say that the woman who works in the Office/store is very nice and friendly. She should give the old grump some lessons. We stay there on occasion, but would rather go to the place down the road that may not be quite as pretty, but much nicer and welcoming atmosphere.”

“I don't recommend this park. We were unexpectedly evicted from the park for groundless reasons last marchland were told we could never return there again. We are quiet, law abiding, respecting senior citizens from WI. The eviction was due to our daughter in law's visit to us in the park on 2 occasions. She too is law abiding and respectful but we wonder if the issue is that she happens to be black. BTW she is a recognized children's book author.”

“We stayed at pelican point three years ago and again this weekend, the last weekend before Halloween. Three years ago the park was full of families, children and pets. Families carved pumpkins and put them outside of their rvs. We brought wood and when we started a community campfire, families brought wood and joined in, our dogs ran about the community campfire area and socialized as well. This year the only occupants seemed to be the blue hairs and the only time any activity was apparent was the trek to the nightly senior potluck. When we attempted a campfire in the community area, we were chastised by the manager for the fire and letting our dogs off leash, though it was only 8:45 at night and there was no one else in the area. This park is in a wonderful location for families and pets with the beach in easy walking distance. However, there are so many arbitrary rules (tow vehicles must be parked on the right side of the site behind your rig so that you need to infringe on your neighbors spot to get to your vehicle, which made no sense at all and many people agreed) and the manager is so rude that we will most likely skip this park in the future. Even good Sam has refused to grant them membership. The people at the office were wonderful but the manager was rude and awful. Too bad!” Popular Attractions in Half Moon Bay
