“Chair lifts seem too large for some children, but there are no size restrictions. The so called "safety bar" on the chair lift does not stay down on its on. The amusement park is certainly not worth the admission price. The shows have decent talent but are not well written and/or produced. .”

“I wouldn't go back if they provided limo service and free meals and tickets. Rides are broken, chair lift is unsafe (if you take your arms off the security bar, it lifts into the air!) Rides are broken. They would be much better off to invest a little money in the chairlift, and charge 10 bucks to ride up the mountain and see the old buildings.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“We paid $100 to get into this park - 2 adults 2 children (4 and 7). We find out that the train was not functional, several rides and several shows were not operational. We rode a ski lift up to the very top that dropped us directly in a photo booth that charged $21.50 for a portrait on the ski lift. Only to have to wait in line to be shepherded further up the mountain on a tram b/c the train was not operational and we were not allowed to walk/hike up. There was very little communication from the staff as to where we were supposed to stand, what we were supposed to do, etc. While there is obviously restoration taking place, I believe they could have charged a smaller fee to reflect the things we were able to do. People were meandering up and down the "town" street, in and out of shops although few were walking out with bags with purchased items merchandise was way over priced, not unique to Ghost Town and could easily be purchased at the dollar store. Lots of people going from show to show, but I got the sense that everyone was waiting for the "thing" we paid the big bucks for. Rides were fun for the kids, although the setup didn't breed confidence in us as parents and we were leary to let them ride anything that looked unsafe. The placement of the rides was brilliant, in that the swings were operating at the top of the mountain, swinging you virtually off the side. There was a huge Geronimo drop thing, but in light of the most recent accident in Kentucky, we were not at all interested in risking it. Great views, but unnerving. The park has only been open for one month, so I don't know what else to expect in coming days, I personally wouldn't recommend this trip to anyone.” 1 of 1 people found this review helpful.

“My wife and I were there on June 13, 2007. Just got back to South Florida. We had a great time...I went there as a child. and remember it fondly. People would be surprised at how many famous western stars of the 60's worked there. The place just re-opened May 25th, so the paint still smells fresh. The staff was friendly and the old west shootout was neat, the roller coaster wasn't up and running yet, but they say it will in a few days. We'll be moving to that area real soon. Who knows, maybe I can get a job getting' shot off the roof and land in the hay bale...at least it will be make believe getting' shot. In south Fl..its not make believe.” 0 of 3 people found this review helpful.

“Alexis from Miami reviewed an amusement park in 2005 that has been closed since 2002. She probably should have shared that information with you as well and I'm not surprised she had problems, since there were no employees at the time of her review and had not been for 3 years.” 12 of 12 people found this review helpful.
