  • Driving away from the camp grounds to go home.
  • Everything up until we were driving away from the camp grounds to go home.

“This place was an absolute nightmare! The so called pool was so unsanitary, I wouldn't let my dog near it, much less my children! It was a run-down mess. Unfortunately, I did not think to read reviews before I visited this camp site and so wish I had.”

  • Going home.
  • Everything.

“This place is horrible, do not bring your family here! It is a real life version of a Stephen king movie or Friday the 13th, there are no words to describe this campground. Broken play ground equipment, soaped up golf carts, loud for your own safety do not go there!”

  • Leaving.
  • Everything.

“Do not camp here! It is scary! It looks like a great location for a Steven King movie or perhaps a sequel to Friday the 13th words can't even describe this place, do not bring your family here!”

  • The girl at the gate was nice.
  • Everything - they need to be shut down.

“My husband and I took a drive out to see the campground over the weekend. Scary is not even the word to describe it! Driving in there were several abandoned campers with weeds covering them. It was as if we drove into another world. There was no rhyme or reason to this place. The bathrooms were run down at best. The facilities were absolutely gross - it was as if this was a sub community to some out law gang land. To be fair the girl at the front gate was nice to let us drive around and also opened the office to give us information but I was worried about her actually being in that campground - how could she feel safe there?.”

  • Nothing.
  • Everything.

“Went to visit friends that were staying there, left when the wanted to charge us to visit, with our friends already signed-in and waiting for us in the office. If you like rusted-out wrecks, tall, unmoved grass/weeds, loud music of all varieties, soaped-up four wheel drive vehicles racing around, then this is the place for you! If you travel just 10 minutes west on Il. Rt.71 check out Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park-Camp & Resort. Clean, Friendly Staff, Well-Maintained Sites, Lots of Activities, and no charge to visit and check-out the grounds. Well worth the extra ten minute drive and price difference !”

  • Fun if you want to party without many rules.
  • A disgrace to what could be a beautiful natural spot.

“Although conveniently located in proximity to home (only 45 min. ride) and a beautiful ride to the campground, it is indeed a bit on the seedy side. I have visited this campground dozens of times because my family had a site here. The woods are filled with abandoned truck trailers and other rusted un-natural equipment. Many areas look like junkyards with old tractors and equipment. When I visited over Labor day weekend, only 1 of the 9 or so female showers worked, so long lines were your only option. If you like to party, this is the place to be. A lot of drunken people hanging out at the pool all day and falling on the dance floor of the pavilion are a way of life here. Most of the full time residents are toothless with scary demeanors, not role models for young children. The store onsite is junky, needs a major clean up as well as the recreation room.”

  • Close to relatives.
  • This place is a dump.

“While camping here, our camper was vandalized at 1 am, and the security guard showed up with a beer in his hand. The management sent me a copy of their check-in sheet that said they were not responsible, call my own insurance agent. This place looks like a junk yard for unused campers, and security is a joke. The main recreation is kids of all ages driving at high speed on "golf carts", while consuming what ever is available. There is no enforcement of the curfew. We will never return to this campground, and recommend that no one stay here.”
