  • Was there for only a minor injury.
  • Nasty staff and a dirty facility! No one cared less!

Neue Galerie New York

  • The lunch at the cafe is to die for.
  • The line waiting for lunch can kill you.

“This small museum in a mansion on the corner of 86th and fifth just above the met is home to German (read German & Austrian) expressionism, with a good schiele collection and the klimt of all klimts - that lady in the sparkling dress - which they just purchased for many millions. At present, it has a terrific exhibition on van gogh's influence on expressionism, well organized with a good accompanying catalogue. The cafe overlooking central park (well, the upstairs one anyway) has the most wonderful lunch, you would swear you were in Vienna!”

Statue of Liberty
Mar 20, 2007 by Katy from Argyle, Texas
Overall Rating: 9 User Rating Score: 9

  • How beautiful and huge she really is in person. A must see!
  • The long lines, double security checks, and no trips to the very top anymore.

“A new York (or new jersey) must see! Very patriotic, but also very beautiful. Some hits from a pro: go early, bring snacks, get tickets ahead of time (it is worth the few extra bucks to do so) and get off the boat first! Know that you must put any bags in a locker, so rush over and do that first. Then be prepared to wait in a long line. Talk about 9/11 security. And if you are taking small children, be prepared, one of the things you go through is a "blower" and it shoots air at you to check for chemicals. It scares kids if they cannot go through with you. However once you are past all that, it is truly a magnificent site! Even though you can not go to the crown anymore, it is still worth the trip!”

St. Patrick's Cathedral

  • A total experience.
  • Could not stay longer.

“Absolutely an amazing place. The peace and reverence you feel when you enter is truly palpable. Be respectful, and look the entire place over. People will be sitting quietly and if you just follow the implied rules of behavior you can walk and take in the wonderful sights. Ask the docents questions, they can be very helpful for people that want to know more. It's amazing. Go if you can.”
