- Great atmosphere.
- Theater isn't air conditioned.
“Great place for a first casual date to get to know someone in a non threatening environment. Enjoy the pizza, talk then take in a movie.”

- Great collection and very well restored/maintained.
- The display floor is overcrowded and the best planes are obscured.
“The Air Museum is a marvel, but there are two major problems with the displays. We have seen some of these aircraft previously. For example, the Spruce Goose was far better displayed in the Long Beach Dome, sharing its space with an exhibit car. In its current setting, it looks like a Winnebago in a used car lot. A host of other aircraft and vehicles are jammed beneath and beside it. You cannot get any vision of the scale or magnificence of the plane without going to the second floor of the gift shop, and even there, the view is not really sufficient. You lose an appreciation of the magnitude of this accomplishment. The SR-71 Blackbird is also poorly displayed. The sculptural lines of this beautiful aircraft are disrupted by the open engine cowling and the open crew hatches. This bird should be parked in its own space, as was done for some of the war birds, so that one can appreciate its beauty and elegance. I photographed this plane on the ramp at Nasa Ames, and saw what it looked like in a proper setting. There is also a start cart and an early drone, just like the display at Plant 42 in Palmdale. Put this plane back together and showcase it properly. When the new space museum opens up, there will be some additional space. The space exhibits will move across the parking lot. Perhaps then we can get a better view of the Blackbird.”

- Unique, interesting and educational museum for all things that FLY!
- A little off the beaten path.
“When I heard about this place I debated whether to bother with this "museum" thinking it might be a small town tourist trap type of deal (like the worlds largest ball of twine) plus, it was a bit out of the way for one little old airplane museum. Well, we went anyway and I have one word to describe it. AWESOME! I could not BELIEVE how much I and my family enjoyed this place! Every airplane model I had built as a kid was there. From All of the WWII fighters showcased on the History channel, to the legendary SR-71 Blackbird spy plane. For everything related to aviation, this place is LOADED! I thought I would be dragging around a bored wife, but to my surprise SHE was dragging ME around just as excited as the kids! (she even cried a few times reading the stories of "Gallant enemy" fighters and aviation heroes). The kids gained a new respect (and interest) for aviation and still talk about our visit to the museum many months later. Sometimes while walking around you forget you are under the wings of the Herculean main attraction the "Spruce Goose". I found myself looking up every few minutes and simply muttering "wow" as I stared in disbelief at the sheer size of the bird. All through the place I got little surprises that just blew me away! A titan 2 ICBM missile just laying there off to the side, then off to the corner a lunar module replica with an authentic TOUCHABLE Russian space capsule that really went to space! Add to this the awesome gift shop, the wine tasting, the nice cafe, and the planes the kids (and I) got to touch, climb into, and take pictures around (I got some great pictures of me pretending to be sucked into a jet intake HA)! We were all VERY happy we discovered this secret treasure of a place and are now very big fans. We HIGHLY recommend it to everyone and anyone looking for an interesting, educational, MEMORABLE few hours. We consider it a "CAN'T MISS" stop if you're anywhere near McMinnville Oregon. It is WELL WORTH THE TRIP! The LaVoie Family.”
