Carowinds

  • The hanging baskets.
  • To many rides closed.

“Worst trip ever ! The water park only had two rides open, we can swim in the pool at home. Our kids were so disappointed. Not everyone can ride a roller- coaster! The food and drinks cost to much and had no taste. We came last year also, same thing most of the rides were closed. We will not go back to Caro winds! I want our money back!”

  • Leaving.
  • Charge for parking, lines, expensive food that sucked.

“Went to Carowinds on Saturday 6/25/06, When my family of 5 went to threw the security gate to the young girl who was taking the tickets, she ask me for my tickets. She must have mis-understood me when I told her I didn't have any tickets because she said I could get in for $20.00 each. Just go over and get a map, put the money inside and bring it back to her. Then I told her I had season passes. She seemed aggravated and rudely told me to go ahead in. Carolwinds is loosing a lot of money, if they got people like this working for them. But charging $10.00 to park I doubt it. The lines were too long and the food and drink way to expensive. I had the worse time there that day that I have ever had there.”

Carowinds

  • Close to home. Easy to find your way around.
  • Not good for persons with disabilities. Try Disney.

“Friendly staff, but lacked basic knowledge of anything beyond their individual jobs. Bathrooms, although marked accessible for wheelchairs, were far from it. I used a small titanium (about 12 pounds) that I could barely get into the handicapped stall. The door to the stall also blocked an adjoining room if opened. I literally had to hoist myself out of the chair and partially disassemble it just for privacy. I have no idea how people using the "rental" chairs managed.

Why would any theme park charge separate fees for season tickets and season parking? Who would buy a season ticket, only to pay parking each time you visited?

Food was way too expensive for the lack of variety.

AND LAST, while alcohol was sold, it could only be consumed on the shaded, covered decks of the restaurants (three total) where it was sold. In Sprtanburg it's bad enough not being able to find a drink on Sunday. But shouldn't I be able to drink it with the rest of my party, in the war sun, if I choose to?”
