St Mary Mercy Hospital
Feb 12, 2007 by Kim from Northville

  • Not one thing- in 4 different trips since 2003.
  • Go some where else for medical treatment if you value life.

“January 10, 2007 I had shoulder surgery at St. Mary's. Don't use there facilities unless you are willing to pay all the sequences for using their facilities. I suffered from a severely cut up eyes, because my contact were not removed by staff before surgery, even though they were told repeatedly. I requested medication to prevent vomiting after surgery and was given alka-seltzer before surgery. Needless to say after surgery I had 18 continuous hours of vomiting. When I asked to speak to my doctor I was told he was gone and couldn't be reached, even though his office is in the hospital. I begged to speak to another doctor and was told no I was being discharged. I explained I was to sick to go home, but the nurse who was assigned to me couldn't go home until I did. So he put me in a chair, took me to valet parking and while I was vomiting violently, urinating uncontrollable because of the vomiting, I was put in a car and sent home, knowing I lived alone and was unable to care for myself, cut eye, vomiting uncontrolled and all. When I contacted the doctor, he advised me they recovery room never contacted him. The director of the hospital finally returned my calls after numerous days and assured me if I would use his name,¿ next" time I came there, he would promise me great care. I shouldn't have to wait for my next visit to get good service, nor should I have to name drop to get good service. It should be standard practice. This is not the only time I have had horrible care. They have all Benn a disaster since 2003. If you care about a loved one or yourself. Go some where else.”

Wilson Barn
Oct 23, 2006 by Judith from Livonia
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Everything - especially the pony rides for the little kids Haunted barn for the big kids
  • No advertising for the haunted barn and pony rides. Only advertising for crafts.

“I think Wilson Barn is just the best for kids and families. However, I do think that maybe better advertising should be displayed for passers by to know what is going on. Last night my husband & I stopped and if we had known there was a haunted barn we would have brought our kids. The more advertising the better to get people to stop and tell others about what goes on at the corner of W. Chicago & Middle belt. The haunted barn looked great and I think this is a great opportunity to get kids to visit the haunted barn without them thinking they have to drive a long way to find a haunted house. The pony rides are great too! Keep up the good work! ”

St Mary Mercy Hospital

  • Dr Brager, Nurse Michelle, and physical therapy professionals.
  • N/A

“The night of the operation after 7pm I was refused pain medication by I believe was the CNA.( He was a tall slim dark curly hair male.) The date was 4/10/06. He held this position until 3a.m. when I told him if he didn't have any medication for pain "Then bring me some aspirin" He then returned with some percoset! Where did the medication come from? Where was the previous doses that I didn't get. I WANT THIS INVESTIGATED1. I laid in that bed in excruciating pain with a broken ankle which required 6 screws. I expressed my anger to the 7am crew the following morning. Nurse Michelle was the first health care person to listen to me. I expressed it this way to the "I've been treated like I'm in Abu Graube prison not a hospital. The patient next to me had to have heard all this. Now I,m no fool I sure that everything has been charted correctly for CYA purposes. I'm willing to take a polygraph if your employees will to . I am telling the truth! Once again I want this investigated.”
