Mercy Hospital And Medical Center
Jul 23, 2007 by Elena from Munich
Overall Rating: 3 User Rating Score: 3

  • Friendly nurses.
  • Do not know where to start.

“I would not recommend anyone to go this hospital. I have visited the ASCO Annual Meeting and needed an emergency treatment. Although the Hospital is in close distance to the McCormick Place and one would think that they frequently have non-American patients, they are not prepared at all on e.g. how to handle billings for Europeans. They ask for cash deposit, for which one never receives a receipt. The costs for the medical treatment one received separately; from Miami (also these people are really not helpful). Months later my bill is still not sorted out. The email address indicated on their website is not working and if you contact them by phone there is obviously no one in charge. The only positive point was that the nurses were quite friendly. Otherwise, can not recommend this hospital at all.”

Chicago Trolley Company

  • Great Tour Guides and overall staff.
  • Nothing.

“Now I know why they call Chicago the Windy City, because being up top a Chicago Double Decker Bus not only do you get a great view of the city but you also get a taste of the wonderful wind that Chicago is famous for and a fabulous Tour. My family and I visited Chicago during the Memorial weekend. Our tour started a the Navy Pier stop, my family and I were mesmerized by the bright colors of the Chicago Trolley bright red ticket booth and how professional the ticket agent looked and handle other customers in front of us. When we approach the ticket both the ticket agent greeted us with a big smile that sold us automatically. They were very polite and informative; they answer all of our questions and new a lot of the service that they were selling. They told us about the great gift you get with the purchase of their tour tickets; which was music to my children ears to here that they would get a free bag of the famous Garrets Popcorn and a Chocolate Hershey bar with their ticket. They also told us about their great Ethnic Tour, two tours for the price of one what a deal. There was another tour company that was next to them "Grey Line" but they looked scary and mean and instead of inviting they actually scared customers away with the "I do not want to be hear" look in their face and their unwelcoming ticket booths. Of course we went with the bright company Chicago Double Decker co. We took the Tour aboard a London Style Double Decker Bus when the bus approach the stop the driver and tour guide came down and introduce themselves to all the customers that were waiting. We felt right at home with our Tour Guide he was funny and informative. Our tour was full of Chicago history as well as Chicago comedy. The best thing is that Walt like other tour guides that work for this company really enjoyed their job which made us enjoy even more our Tour. We had lunch at the great millenniums park were we also learned that this same company Double Decker Co. Just open a new retail store where you can get all your Chicago souvenirs as well as tickets to take this great tour. If you are going to be in Chicago for more than one day I do recommend their three day pass you get a free t-shirt plus the other great gifts. Overall I truly recommend this tour company our experience was one of the best.”

Our Lady Of The Resurrection Medical Center
Nov 4, 2006 by Alexandria from Niles,Illinois
Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing.
  • All.

“Kept flat on a gurney-Needed head raised. X-rays of broken upper arm were unusable to the doctor. When told I needed to go to the ladies room, I was told I could go on my way out, and that was before all the x-rays and examination. Not admitted to the hospital but told I could go to a doctor in the suburbs on Monday and this was Friday night. They never called my doctor to tell her I had broken my arm. I shudder when I simply drive past the place now. Ambulance would not take me to my hospital, said they had to take me to the nearest one that wasn't too busy. Ravenswood was out of business, and Swedish Convenient was too busy with the overload because of Ravenswood being closed. I think I would have been better treated at a Veterinarian's office. Alexandria.”

Sears Tower
Sep 26, 2006 by Lori from Georgetown, Ca
Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5

  • Beautiful view.
  • Not much else there besides the view, kind of boring.

“It was a great view but not very exciting. The cost was reasonable as long as you don't have to park a vehicle in Chicago to go see it. It cost approx $10 a person, but parking was $25.”

Museum Of Science & Industry
Aug 19, 2006 by Carol from St. Louis
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Loved the free parking next to the Museum and the kids hands on areas.
  • The Submarine tour inside the Sub was disappointing.

“Incredible place! parked in the East Lot of the Museum at the entrance to the Omnimax Theater which is FREE Parking, 1st come, 1st served. Submarine Tour charges $5/person & seemed rushed. My children did not enjoy it. They honored our membership from St. Louis Science Center so there was no admission charge to the Museum. clean restrooms. Line for the Coal Mine was 30 minutes to get in and then 30 minutes to take the tour. Next time, we will go there 1st to avoid the mid-day crowds. ”
