Key West Aquarium
Jan 8, 2008 by Juliana from Green Bay
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Touching the shark, was a neat, once in a lifetime experience!
  • It was very small, not quite worth the price, because you spend little time there.

“The Key West Aquarium was a fun outing for adults and kids. You got to look at tanks filled with some of Key West's local aquatic life. You also got to hands on activities, such as hold a huge hermit crab and touch a (harmless) shark. There was also an outdoor area, filled with lots of vegetation and ponds. This area includes baby alligators, sea turtles, and Key West's local, tropical birds. This was a fun experience that I would suggest to anyone traveling with kids.”

Boyd's Key West Campground
Jun 20, 2007 by chris from rock hill s.c.
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • Wind stopped blowing for a while.

“Boyd's offered everything I needed on my camping trip. I highly recommend. I also feel I must warn anyone reading this to be prepared for an 8:00 wake up roar as the f-18s leave the air base across the channel. I also recommend that if you stay at boys you will have a good time and an experience to remember.”

Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum
Mar 18, 2006 by Gary from Sullivan, Missouri
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Very interesting fun, and see Sloppy Joe's too. Go in July for the Hemingway look alike contest!
  • Hot in summer, but there was always a breeze.

“I loved it. You could almost feel Hemingway was still there. I was so inspired, I read his book set in Key West to have and to have not. Go early in the day so you can spend all the time there you'd like, and be sure to go into the bookstore. You need to buy a copy of your favorite Hemingway book with the Home sticker on it. The tour guides were very friendly, and the place was being repaired, and improved when I was there. Key West is a wonderful place to vacation, and the Hemingway home ,and Harry Truman's Little White House are two of many fun and exciting things to do in relaxing Key West!”

Key West Lighthouse Museum
May 4, 2005 by Jason S . from Bourbonnais
Overall Rating: 5 User Rating Score: 5

  • Good view of island from top of lighthouse, air conditioning in museum
  • Scary on the way down the spiral staircase

“The Key West Lighthouse Museum is a fun stop if you have time to kill or need to get out of the heat for a few minutes. The actual museum part was boring to me, but may be interesting to a retired captain. The best part of the museum was the air conditioning. Climbing up the staircase wasn't that bad, but may be difficult for older individuals. Once at the top you get a good view of Key West. I could see cruise ships that were docked in port. Climbing down the staircase was scary. I am only a little afraid of heights, and I was terrfied. I don't recommend this if you have any issues with height. My legs were shaking by the time I reached the bottom.”

I've never seen pictures like these! They're even more than fantastic. I can't describe my feelings. It seems like you're part of the scenery. I've been really impressed and had to come back the next day again- just to get these impression once again. I can't get enough of these incredible pictures!!!”
