Silent Valley Club Inc
Mar 16, 2009 by Andi from Riverside
Overall Rating: 10 User Rating Score: 10

  • Easy to get to; lots to do; safe for the children; and everyone treats each other like family.
  • I don't like that you can't have a campfire, but this is minor compared to the positives.

“I have never had anything but great experiences with the staff. Everyone is so friendly and helpful. This is a well staffed and well maintained campground with so much to do. Although this is a campground and not a hospital, they still try to be prepared to assist everyone from the children with bee stings to the elderly patrons with life threatening issues. They have someone available 24/7 at the ranger/first aid station in case of an emergency which is a lot more than many campgrounds out there. (Of course they watch TV, but not because they are neglecting their duty - anyone stuck in a little building for hours on end would do the same.) In addition to that, other Rangers are constantly making rounds. It's like a mountaintop paradise with little more than a city drive. It's definitely worth a look!”

Silent Valley Club Inc

  • Looks nice but.
  • Poor on-site staff, ranger manager can be found in the back room of the ranger station watching TV.

“It's horrible how the guard manager and office manager are so mean there. My father died at Silent Valley, he had a heart attack in his camp ground spot and at the time the Ranger station had no medical nurse on duty to help him. Sadly, he died at his camp. I'll make sure to never stay there! Besides the rangers drive around in loud sounding old beat-up trucks, unfriendly and harass the campers. Meantime when you need to speak to a ranger you'll find them in the ranger guard in the back room watching TV, they really should remove the TV! Again, I'll make sure to never stay there, thanks!”

  • Friendly and beautiful.
  • Having to share the grown up pool with the kids.

“There is not a more beautiful or friendly place on god's green earth. It seems to me there are no strangers.”

  • So many diffrent activites to do
  • Red ants and rattlesnakes, just need to be very aware of your surroundings

“this is the greatest place on earth to go camping, the road to silent valley is long and winding and the attitude of the people that aer in the camp is great, like a family, there is so much to do, my grandparents had a lifetime membership and eventaully bought a cabin in the mountians on racoon road. My cousins and I spent many summers of fun at this campground, greatest memories a kid could ever have!”
