Monkey School Performances
Aug 7, 2009 by Henrik from Stockholm
Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • Nothing.
  • Stressed monkeys, unfriendly staff.

“Terrible place! The monkeys are kept in short chains and seem extremely stressed. One grabbed my son, like he was asking for help, and another one was biting the cage with desperate eyes. The young guys who were in charge of the show were bored and mean-looking. The staff was overall unfriendly. I wouldn't advice my worst enemy to go here. Enjoy other things outside Chiang Mai instead, but stay away from this BS.”

Old Chiang Mai Cultural Center (The)
Apr 25, 2007 by Murray from Melbourne
Overall Rating: 8 User Rating Score: 8

  • A memorable experience.
  • Photographer too business like, the English description unbearable.

“First impressions are always a good indication and chain main is no different, our taxi driver, well presented and polite suggested that our (only) night in his town be spent at the cultural centre. The night starts (if a ticket is booked you get picked up from your hotel) with generous amount of tasty food which is found in the north while a quality floor show is presented. A show which is local musicians, music and dancers. It is as collectively beautiful and graceful as a major ballet. Then a bus delivers you to your hotel or another location. Drinks other than water cost extra. (Licensed).”
