Watershed (The)
Feb 17, 2008 by Genie from Bristol
Overall Rating: 2 User Rating Score: 2

  • I liked the view out of the window.
  • Everything else.

“I am an old fan of the Watershed; however, I will never set foot in there again. I went there for lunch over the weekend and had the worst kind of service possible. Not only was I over charged but when I questioned it - I was served the most foul dish possible, and really how hard is it to slap together sweet Thai Chili Chicken and curly fries? Also when on finishing my abortion on a plate. It was just grim there. The staff has all changed, and the manager was a useful as a chocolate fire guard.”

Bristol Balloon Fiesta
Aug 15, 2006 by Rachel from Bristol
Overall Rating: 1 User Rating Score: 1

  • The Spitfire display and one large an impressive old-fashioned carousel.
  • They keep it quiet that there's not much chance of seeing any balloons.

“Dreadful. I went to the 2006 Balloon Fiesta on Saturday the 12th of August and it was awful. It is essentially a huge, cheap and nasty funfair with huge numbers of stands selling overpriced food and drink. If you went there for a family day out it could cost you an absolute fortune. They didn't have any balloons take off, because it was too windy apparently, (not that we could feel that on the ground, but I bow to their greater knowledge of that). However, the other entertainments were mostly awful, and unless you are willing to pitch a camp right next to the arena fence, you can't hear any of the announcements, so you have no idea what's going on. Also, (although we walked there) we noticed traffic was awful, and there were far too few loss. Go to the kite festival instead - no pony wind excuses there!”
